About the Role
We're looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner on a 6 month fixed‑term contract to act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping shape and deliver people strategies that support business growth and performance.
You’ll need to hit the ground running, adapt your style to different stakeholders and provide credible, commercially focused people advice from day one.
You’ll play an instrumental role in building organisational capability, strengthening culture and improving organisational effectiveness. You’ll partner with leaders to design and optimise organisational structures, support change initiatives, embed new ways of working and ensure alignment with the wider People strategy to enable sustainable business growth.
You’ll bring a practical, commercially focused approach, balancing business needs with positive people outcomes. As a strong communicator and influencer, you’ll be able to build credibility quickly, challenge constructively and engage stakeholders at all levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders across your designated functions
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused HR guidance to support business objectives
- Quickly develop a deep understanding of your business areas, priorities, and challenges
- Adapt your partnering approach to suit different leadership styles and needs
- Support the delivery of key people initiatives aligned to our People Strategy
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to identify and address skills and resource gaps in line with workforce plans and headcount budget
- Coach and support managers on a wide range of people matters
- Act as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations cases
- Provide clear, confident guidance on policy and employment law
- Use data, trends and insights to inform conversations and decision‑making
- Work alongside the Colleague Experience team to embed engagement, communication and wellbeing initiatives
- Champion an inclusive, supportive culture that drives engagement and retention
About You
You’ll be an agile, credible HR professional who is confident stepping into a new environment and building relationships quickly.
You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a People Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- A track record of building trust and credibility quickly in new or changing environments
- Solid experience handling employee relations and advising on employment law
- A commercially minded and pragmatic approach
- Confidence using data and metrics to support decision‑making
- The ability to adapt your style quickly and respond to shifting priorities
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a genuine passion for people

Salary: GBP 45000 - 50000 per year
